to other X5 owners?

I sometimes wave when someone is passing in tight quarters or slowly by, but I never get a wave back :dunno: of course it's usually soccer moms or non-enthusiasts..

It's an X5 not a Z8. I wouldn't even expect to get a wave back from E46 M3 owners considering how many of them are out there.

Are you kidding me? In Calgary there's an X5 at every intersection. I'd be waving constantly. :)

I give a little nod and a smile when I see another X driver or any BMW driver checking out the X. Maybe that doesn't count, I do that to everyone ;)

Yes, I usually flash an open hand (5 fingers spread apart). But only if I don't need both hands on the wheel.

No - I'd be waving all day. The majority of them probably couldn't tell me if they were driving a 3.0, 4.4, or 4.8, let alone be an enthusiast interested in X5world.

I've had the car for a couple of months now and no waving action at all.

When I had the FX (liquid copper color), there was a lot of waving action, only from other liquid copper color owners.

The key is it unique enough? I'm sorry but the X5 is a very popular SUV.
