I couldn't justify having both, so...
 

I got rid of my X for a 350Z! Sounds crazy at first, but I always wanted a Z car. Growing up, my father had a silver/grey 280 that I loved. I joke with him that he got rid of it before I turned 16 so I couldn't get into any trouble. Now I'm just finishing what he started!

Anyway, my wife drives that SUV/Minivan thing called a Pacifica. IMHO it's more comfortable/spacious for actual people/cargo moving (plus I have an older pickup for the dirty work). I'm also guessing that soon after we move into the new house, the baby talk will heat up (she's dropping hints). So, I got the Z out of the way now so I won't be kicking myself later (plus I can use it as a stress reliever when the kids are driving me crazy).

Wagner, I didn't see your Z for sale until today (I've been away from the board for a while). Looks like a great car, nice mods, and a good price. Good luck!

I attached a few pics of the new ride. It's also in front of the new house. While it's no Fort San Juan (GREAT looking house, BTW), I'm SO EXCITED about getting in there soon (late Oct., fingers crossed). I'm not that excited about all the grass cutting and landscaping that it will require (I'm coming from a townhome), but at least I don't have to worry so much about that for a couple of seasons.

I will miss being a regular member here, although I wasn't the most talkative. However, I did learn a lot from you folks and shared a lot of laughs. If you all don't mind, I still will monitor The Lounge (Freaky Friday, and other "informative" threads) and may add a thing or two as an alum! Take care.

Congrats. One of my golfing buddies has a Z and loves it. IIRC, Can't fit more than one set of clubs though.

MD, you're right about the garage on the house, although my wife doesn't know it yet :) I do have a separate two car garage behind the house that you can see part of in one of my pics. There I keep an old 'Stang that I've neglected for far too long (maybe once we get settled in, fella).

I may need to clear some space for a second car in the other garage. These builders don't give you enough space in their initial garage plans. But most of all, I was careless in not going over the new garage's dimensions. I doubt my wife and I will have much room to get around if we put both the Z and the Pacifica in this so called "two-car garage", not to mention the door dings she's bound to give me when she's getting out of the truck, talking on the phone, grabbing her purse, and sipping Starbucks at the same time! Should have been more alert and spec-ed out a 2 1/2 car space. Damn!

Damn, right as I'm selling my 350Z.... doh.

Congrats. The Z's have always been one of my favorites. I still have my 1975 280z in the garage, doesn't run any more, but one of these days, I will get motivated and then watch out, it will be coming back to life!

Those G35 coupes make me laugh. I wish people would get the real legend car (Nissan Z) and stop pretending.

Aside from the exhaust note, I think this is one of the best-valued coupes one can buy today. :thumbup:

Yeah, the 1st car I bought (not from my parents) was a 1975 280Z :thumbup: - 1st year with the Bosch fuel injection, 170hp, 2570lbs, :2thumbs: only problem was the nose started to lift at +90mph :tsk: - definitely needs the front air dam - the engine was as good as anything out of Germany. Damn, that was a GREAT car. Good luck with the restore.

I looked into the 350Z, hoping to recapture that old love. ;) But alas, I could not even get into the damned thing. :rolleyes: It definitely is not for someone 6'4". The 280Z, I could not even reach the firewall, there was so much room.

Congrats on your new baby, Smiley! Just make sure to tell your wife to park on the left side of the garage :) Worst case scenario, she'll hit the door on the wall and not your new Z :)
