East Meet?
 

Let's think about it. Sad to say, we're putting the house on the market for sale. Time to downshift and move to a condo/townhouse. Some of you have been to my crib for previous East Meets and I would really like to have a final bash sometime this spring and bring the oldsters back and get some new squids into the pool.

Sound good? Let's look at dates. I'm west of Philly. If you're in the NYC area or down in the D.C. zone (MiCkEy? PalmNut?) you're part of the core, targeted market for mayhem.

Where's CyberLord? Where's GeeX5?

Just name the date ol'bud.

I am in Charlotte, NC, but I'll gladly go up to the Philly area for an East meet! :D

Kaefer and Spydrz, if you guys come up, we might be able to convince Palmnut (around Norfolk) and MiCkEy (Alexandria), to make it, also.

Spouses and kids are always a part of the fun. We have a pool, but I'm not sure when we are opening it this season, but there will be plenty of food and drink and we can all stand around and oogle Tommy X's Brembos (they are so cool, that my wife, upon seeing them and after everyone had left, said to me, "I want those for the Volvo".)

I have to track down "The Banner" and have you two sign it. The Banner started at the first EM (at my house) where I had Warsteiner supply us with some "samples" and goodies and one of them was a huge Warsteiner banner. Everyone at EM 1 (September 2001) signed it with a vow to take the banner to Spartenburg the first time there was a Spartenburg X5 Homecoming (that crop was particularly good that year, eh, Tommy?) and the banner actually travelled around a bit: I know that it went out to a West Meet in 2002 and then they mailed it back (to me?). Anyway, The Banner is now as Holy to all X5 True Believers as the Buddha's tooth (the banner is bigger).

It would be great to meet you two and I will emphasize again, that a very important part of the (various) X5 boards has been the real-world meeting of good, crazy people and developing special friendships.

Ed - you're majority whip up in the NYC area. Get those punks on board.
