I know it's late but:
it seems that Ken did not win. ahemm.

Today was a really crappy day and somehow, it just came together. Everything ending up being alright due to a few good friends.

The butcher I deal with just handed me 3 pounds of sliced Parma as I walked in. :dunno: uhhhh??? OK Thanks!!! Ciao!! :zoom:

The French bakery had fresh baked ficelle. (little baguettes) We cut up some Gruyere, brie and pate. Phillipe grabbed a plate of cornichon, pickled baby onions, french butter and dijon.

The 5 of us ate this while standing at a prep table, in the hot kitchen, on a bitter cold and windy day; today aint so bad after all.

Hope everybody was able, at least once this week, to spend some unexpected time with friends. The best meals are often not what but with who.

Lunch: lousy "stuff" at the dining hall. Honestly, buying a meal plan was an utter waste and I'm desperate to use the meals up before the end of the semester.

Snack: Potato Bites at Arby's. I just had to grab somethin to eat during my drive. Can you believe PE county charges a 5,5% food tax, making the combined tax on food 11,5%?! I thought Albemarle was bad (9%).

Dinner: Some Mexican place on Franklin Street. Seems like Mexican food is popular on campus here. A bargain though.

Just ate the best bar burger in town... better than most restaurants... chateau pub in kenner, better than a swamp burger! (and yes, I am seeing double...)

For supper last night, I ate a "Bondi burger" at an Australian-themed place in San Diego. Melted Havarti cheese, instead of the typical yellow plastic stuff. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. :)

:mmm: Any leftovers? Share, share, that's fair. Hold the pate please. I'll bring the wine.
