Oh (Zaino) Brother!

My back is killing me.
My right arm feels like it's made of rubber.
My neighbors think I am nutty (well, nuttier than they had thought).

The results, though, are amazing. Spent eight hours today Zaino'ing the X:

- Washed it with Dawn
- Clayed it with Z18
- Washed with Z7
- One coat of Z Fusion
- Went over it with Z6 Gloss Enhancer
- First Coat of Z2
- Went over it with Z6 Gloss Enhancer
- Second Coat of Z2
- Went over it with Z6 Gloss Enhancer

PHEW!!! I am beat!! Here are the results:

Looks Super! I hear you on the back and arms, I have been there too with Zaino. I tried the Meguiars NXT and it does not do a bad job compared to back-breaking arm-aching Zaino.

That looks great Juan. Now you've earned your beer or wine for the weekand. :beerchug: for a job well done. Nice thing about Zaino is that you wont be out there doin that again for a while.

Hey, just exactly how long does this stuff last? When should I give it another "buffing"? :bustingup

Thanks for the compliment. I have used Meguiars before, and you're right, it's not bad stuff. I'll have to check out t hat NXT stuff. :D

Looks Titz, Juan!

It varies, but hitting it with a very Thin coat of Z6, (wipe gently but thoroughly and get it all off), on a clean, dry car keeps the shine and protection going for a long time, imo.

Looks great Juan! The long hours can be tough but the end result is worth it IMHO

Great job Juan. That first time for me was ackward as well :bustingup But the results were great. Trust me, that first time is a beast. On the bright side, it gets easier and easier as you add coats. As for the shine, the only thing that gets in the way is rain and dirt/dust. I got a "california duster" and it works great. I have Zaino'd the baby at least 5 times in 5 months and like I said, it gets better and easier everytime. I will use nothing else!

P.S. Sorry I will be unable to make it to the event of the year. If it were just a week earlier, I would. Drink one for me

Yeah right! As soon as you "feel" you need another buffing, (why doesnt that sound right? :dunno: ) run a light coat of Z6 over it and it will look just like these pics again..And when you DO actually give it another go, ONLY use the Z5..let it BUILD UP on the suface of the X, and it will BECOME the surface of the X..Thats the magic of Zaino..From then on, you will be waxing the Z5 and not the X at all!.....
