Agreed - In N Out was a deciding factor in my choice to move to Las Vegas. :D I used to drive 1.5 hours in college over a mountain pass just to get In N Out... I also did have a fun little sports car that was part of the reason too!

Chick Fil A is big in the south. Now McDonalds is copying their style with the Southern Style Crispy Chicken sandwich. But you haven't had chicken fingers until you've tried Raisin Canes.
Being from California, I look forward to In-N-Out Burgers and Round Table Pizza when I go home. |
Although I have never had one, I have heard IN-N-OUT Burgers is the deal for burgers.
But when it comes to chicken sandwiches, you cannot beat Chik-Fil-A (or Chik-a-lay) as we call it in the South!! Yes, this chain did originate in the South (ATL), and it is amazing for as long as KFC was in business that they never came up with the concept of putting a fried chicken breast on a bun. That is Chik-Fil-A's mantra - "we didn't invent the chicken, just the chicken sandwich." Krispy Kreme doughnuts also came from the ATL - I remember over 25 years ago going to the KK shop to see how the doughnuts were made each day!! It is weird when I have had this all your life and to hear others say they have never had it!! With that said, I have to say the best Chik-A-Lay I have been to was in CA - sat outside under the palm trees drinking a milk shake!!! |
It's rubbish fast food, yuck... Although, if there's nothing else open, their grilled selection is reasonable...
|
For you Chik-A-Lay fans, if you haven't already, try a chicken sandwich with mayo and hot sauce (either Tobasco, Pete's, or their wing sauce) - it's the bomb!!!
