Annoying one line posts?

Is it just me or are one line posts by a particular poster REALLY annoying??? :gun:

They never seem to add any value at all. He insists on posting multiple times every day. And no, I'm obviously not talking about myself ;)

I guess this is where I should be using the "ignore user" option --- it's not like I'm going to miss anything (except that I might not understand gresch's or meiac's responses).

Well this forum is open to everyone so you will get people from all walks of life opinions etc. It builds tolerance if you ask me. You could always ignore that person but posts will have holes in them. Try pming the person and explaining your issues. That may help. Remember many people would most likely consider your post to be a waste because it accomplishes nothing more than a complaint. Just food for thought..

Thanks for your response. It gave me something to laugh about today. :bustingup
I haven't found you to be particularly tolerant of other people's opinions.

I guess I should stop posting today; don't want to offend too many people (in one day).

You just have to be an equal opportunity offender *grin*

I use the ignore option for a couple of regulars who often post links to stories and other sites without offering an explanation. Clueless idiots  but what are you going to do? Unfortunately, AFAIK, the forum software is not flexible enough to completely hide the posts they start.

I also use this link to hide Politics forum posts when I do a search for new posts:

Meiac09 01-17-2009 05:20 PM

unfortunately, they are still visible through quotes, and you can always click "show posts"

It takes a lot of effort, that said, I have to either be really bored, or have a lot of homework I should be doing when I waste the time. I'll make sure to quote him next time. :)

Thanks -- I'd forgotten about that way to avoid particular forums. I tried searching but can't find where it was previously discussed. I wonder if there are other exclusions (or additions) that could be added such as additional forums. Maybe UCrewX5 would know...

Oh no, I'm sure many of us find this poster annoying. But sometimes it's fun to just
