Shopping together...;) ... Just poking. BR,mD |
That's too funny! I think they're stalking you.
|
lol i think the xoutpost.com decals (that I got from you) caught their eyes.
|
Michelle KNEW it was you. How funny.
Actually, it was your 87s that caught Michelle's eyes. We then noticed the X5World sticker. :) Yes, we were at Springfield Mall looking for a Ritz Camera, which BMW's "great" Nav system was telling us was there somewhere. We took a couple pics. Michelle will post them later. Nice angel eyes, by the way! Oh yeah, David: we are in town for the inaugaration. Liz and I are going to one of the official inauguration balls Tuesday night. :) Cheers! Juan |

Hey!
Yes...it was the 87's that caught my eye! I think I stopped mid-sentence while talking to Juan and said "LOOK! 87's!!!!!" As we got closer I noticed the bull bar and then the xoutpost.com sticker. And then the most beautiful thing of all -- the Custom Angel Eyes! Wow they look great! If I had to do the angel eyes mod all over again, I'd definitely go with those. Here are the pictures we snapped: http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...IMG_3822-1.jpg http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e3...IMG_3823-1.jpg |

How do you like the window vents? Which ones are they? Thanks |
Haha nice pictures Michelle. But look how dirty it is!
Yes realchef, soooooo filthy!! Thats why I'm surprised the 87s caught the eye, they do when they are clean..but like that... ehh. Ever since I've gotten back from PA I've been busy or its been too cold and I haven't been able to make it to the car wash. Today I finally did though but I think that led to a frozen door. I got in the car after work tonight and tried to open the driver side door..took some effort then when I did it wouldn't close. It just doesn't 'latch on', it just swings open by itself. So I pushed it closed and locked the car and it locked in place..now I have to enter through the passengers side :dunno: . I think I have to go to the dealer tomorrow.. But ya to answer your Q realchef, I love those window vents. I've had them on for years now. They are OEM from BMW. They are useful in the rain, you can crack your window open a bit, and when it is really hot outside since they are smoked they keep the UV rays out. |

Thanks for the info. Been looking to get vents. |
Get them! If I remember correctly they aren't expensive. And installing them is easy, they basically slide in.
Cleaned the X up: http://i395.photobucket.com/albums/p...02009589-1.jpg |

I've had them on all three of my Xs. I think they look pretty good too. |

I didn't have a garage when I was living in an apartment two years ago, and my door handles were constantly frozen in the morning. I started parking my X so that the morning sun would shine on the driver's door. When I headed out to work the in morning, the door handle opened perfectly! No resistance or clicking! It worked every time. Luckily I now have a garage. During these single-digit days, I've been parking my X this way at work. |
Thanks Michelle! You know later that night I searched the forum for a way to resolve the issue before going to the dealer, and I found an old thread in which you wrote the same thing about the sun, so the next day when i went to work I parked the frozen side in the sun, and after work, the problem was fixed! I won't be getting anymore car washes in this weather..
