Guess he will be changing his name to A-Roid, after
his divorce is final...but hey, he must be worth
$25 Mil a year.

Somethings are amiss, but maybe that's just me.

tonycajjo 02-07-2009 10:04 PM

dashincash 02-08-2009 08:56 AM

Worth $25M/yr in baseball maybe... but as far as his sex life is concerned thats going to take a hit. These 'roids shrink the testicles you know.... turns them into raisins..:D Madonna is looking at damaged goods. :yikes: unless she has her eyes on the bat rather then the balls!

A lot of people think it's important that athletic and entertainment stars act as role models. A lot of those people think green is bad.

I don't care. I'd never even seen Phelps until his hosting appearance on SNL :dunno:

At least he has the balls to admit it.

asawadude 02-10-2009 12:52 AM

It would have taken more balls to deny it considering there was positive sample bearing his name. He had no choice but to admit it. He didn't have to look far to see how other users fared - Petite and Giambi fessed up and they survived, pretty much unscathed. Then there's Clemens, who's being investigated by the Feds for perjuring himself in front of George Mitchell.

It was a no-brainer for A-Roid to confess. If Clemens and Bonds go down and end up doing time, then every other baseball player caught in a lie is going down with them.

There's no better way to clean up the sport than to send the MLB Homerun King and MLB Strikeout King to prison and I doubt if A-Roid wants to join them.

He lied about his steroid use for years and when caught red handed he admits it; what balls does that take?

Mr.Black 02-10-2009 11:32 AM

+1 I agree 100% , whats all this crap about, at least he came clean, what are we still 5 years old, I guess we can all do what we want as long as we come clean and feel bad

an another thing what about all the players that are doing the right thing only to realize there getting paid less to pay some shortcutter more -not a proud day for baseball

Michelle 02-10-2009 11:56 AM

Who are the other 103 players?

primetime 02-10-2009 12:23 PM

He's come clean, admitted it and accepted it was wrong. He says he's been clean since 2004 and only juiced during 2001-2003 with the Rangers. Believe him or not, either way its time to move on. He's not going down the road of denial like Bonds and Clemens..In that sense, he made the right choice by admitting to it.

JVegas 02-10-2009 12:51 PM

It's amazing how much $ the govt. is spending on steroids when there are much bigger issues to worry about -- like how much weight Jessica Simpson has put on...wonder if she's juicing too?

Nice summary, PT. That's what makes him different. A lot of stars just say nothing or lie, hire lawyers and try to hide the truth.
