I saw an article on this today http://featuresblogs.chicagotribune....letterman.html which had the same link to the video "highlights". I was taken aback by how Joaquin Phoenix looked on Letterman!

Doooood! I saw this last night and laughed so hard. It was about 10 minutes of the most awkward TV I have ever seen. What was he on? He was fidgeting and scratching the whole time. It was funny, but I actually felt bad for him after it was over.

Hilarious. Obviously a prank. What a great acting job by Joaquin.

As FSETH commented on, he was fidgeting so much that I'm not sure that he was acting... :dunno:

I don't know if he was acting but Hollywood and the likes of Phoenix are crazy enough to actually go off the deep end. :dunno:

I think the way Letterman handled it was classic. The Unabomber line was priceless! :rofl: And "I think we owe Farah Fawcett an apology" was also great.

that is one funny video, he is either one of the best actors out there or that is a lesson to anyone famous that thinks they can take heavy drugs an function on TV.....hahah "do you have any funny stories to tell us?......" -Letterman ..lol

If someone can get Joaquin in that state and Bale in the state he was in during that audio tape and put them together in a film, I think we got one hell of a movie on our hands
