My understanding is that these pirates came from a mother ship, where is it?

Where did you hear that?

"The vessel witnessed a pirate mother ship launch two skiffs," the shipping centre said on its website. "The skiffs and mother ship followed the Ryu Gyong for approximately two nautical miles, firing automatic weapons and a rocket-propelled grenade."

Yeah, that ahh isn't this ship or incident. Though there are "mother ships" in other areas. I don't recall a single report stating that one was found in this act.

I guess you are right; just seems that if we track the mother ships and take them out when they send out boats to attack other ships we will go a long way towards stopping them.

How would you get justification for a preemptive strike like that?

E61Silver 04-13-2009 10:16 AM

No need for preemptive strike we track the mother ships and after they send out the smaller boats to high jack vessels we take the mother ship.

We just sit back and wait, we have the infrastructure on site now.

The other news report that I posted talked about a mother ship we should take that ship as a start.

Just doesn't seem feasible, sq/mi alone is too large. What we need is other nations to stop paying ransom.

I'm glad at least the French, yes the French, got the right idea.
