Different guy. He got his inspiration to do his E46 from the Lambo, but doesn't want to do the entire car.

Damn... mad art skills! And to do all that with a damn sharpie?!?!?!? Definitely ballsy! Most would use an air brush. Ya boys got skills and balls.

Quicksilver 04-13-2009 11:41 PM

Is that gonna come off.....:dunno:

Weasel 04-13-2009 11:44 PM

Something tells me he's not worried about that coming off. Most likely can be sanded off then re-painted if wanted, worst case... buy new hood and trunk lid.

Quicksilver 04-13-2009 11:51 PM

 I knew that but I just needed to ask.......

Just about every question anyone could have about the process has been asked in the two threads linked below the pictures in post #1 of this thread.

I read through them a few days ago, which is too long ago for my goldfish memory to be able to answer questions here about it. :D

He's obviously very clever and a good artist. It just doesn't do it for me, whether it's on a Bimmer or whatever else. JMO.

Schweet!!

Really like the modernizing of classic filligree imagery.

Yesterday afternoon/evening a friend of mine met up with me and my wife, in a hint of irony, to shoot pictures of my car for multiple magazines and online features. After we finished we parted ways and my wife and I went to eat at a local sports bar. Halfway through the meal I ran out to my car because I forgot my wallet, and saw a group of guys standing around the back of my car. I didn't think anything of it since there were multiple groups of people at that time all around because some game was over on the TV and everyone had left. We got home uneventfully and went about the night. Later that night I went out to the garage to get something and noticed it...

Apparently at some point while we were inside, someone decided to "atempt" to break into my trunk. I have no idea what they thought they would find but they didn't make it in. They did however take, what looked like a claw hammer, and ripped off my trunk handle, stole my m3 spoiler, stole my BMW emblem, and worse of all destroyed my trunk. I'm not quite sure why, but they put 4 HOLES IN MY DAMN TRUNK! I can litteraly put my finger in the hole in the top. They also drug the "device" across my trunklid. I have included pics so that you all can feel my pain :ben:

I still don't even know what to say... Destroyed trunk, stolen parts, vandalized original artwork... why...

I will probably skin the top of the trunk off and hang it on the wall.

I did go file a police report and they dusted for prints. I also went looking for security cameras. I will be replacing the trunk with a CSL trunk and I may or may not re-art-it. I'm still undecided. Senseless acts of violence keep running through my mind when I think about it to repay the senseless act of vandalism. She is covered up under the garage and the insurance adjuster is comming out monday to review the damages.

I can't and never will understand why...

UPDATE: Well looks like paying a lot of money for good insurance pays off. My agent came out the other day and inspected all the damage. They reimbursed me for all parts and labor for paint. They even reinbursed me my time for the artwork! Orders have been placed and V3 of my car will be comming soon!

State Farm Insurance with a $100 deductible FTW!!!!

J.Belknap 05-11-2009 01:25 PM

Sucks about the vandalism. This is why we can't have nice things. :( I dig the style... and I would drive the hell out of it.*
