Correct Pronunciation
 

Hey guys n girls,
I was wondering if somebody could help me with a small prob.
The name HARTGE conjours up one of those eastern european names that seems to be lacking in a vowel or two.

So does one say Hartge as "Hartige" or "Hartarge" or "Harge" or "Hartgee" or "Hartgah" or what ?? I appreciate their may be an American version as opposed to an English/Australian way of pronouncing this rather strange word. I'd be interested to hear, er I mean, see its correct pronunciation written.

Are you serious? that's even harder to pronounce than "hartge"!?

Hart-guh is correct. In the German language, 'e' at the end of a word is pronounced 'uh'. Same as Porsche.

So should I start calling you "Ren-uh" :D

we pronounce hartjay or hartjuh
