Buy back of an X5
Where can I find more information about the criteria I should meet to become eligible for a buyback of my X5 by BMW USA? I am located in Texas, if it matters.
Thanks! |
If they have it in shop to fix a problem and can't diagnose/correct it within one month, buyback. (that's the way I know of off hand)
|
And what is the definition of a "problem"? For example, the jerkiness of the transmission when coming to a stop or the lag when I press on the accelerator pedal when starting to move. Are these considered problems? My understanding is that they cannot fix it due to an inherent "bug". Or can they?
I also hate the retarded search function of the navigation system that forces you to guess the category before performing any search. I think I'm starting to get a buyer's remorse after almost a year of owning the vehicle... |
I think of a problem resulting in a buyback as one that makes the vehicle unusable given how it was designed. Not liking the vehicle, or not agreeing with how BMW designed the nav function, isn't a problem, it is a regret.

Texas has decent lemon laws and from my understanding the short version is: 3 times in the shop for the same issue will allow you start a case. Obviously there is a more to it than that but that is the start.
I live in Houston and have had the trans software upgrading 3-4 times on our 07 X3 but I really doubt I could win a lemon law case with that. |
