the v10 is horrible on gas mileage and the v8 is not that much better. My m5 got only about 150 miles if that on a tank.
The M3 gets about 4-6 more MPG on average then pretty much every Ferrari made.
... and noise.. c'mon now.. the M5 and the m3 sound horrible. It's not one of those cars that will make you go holy sh!t...
The M3 sounds horrible? Seriously? If you think this sounds horrible, then I don't know what to say. This would get my attention.
Like I said, I agree with you that Ferrari builds a hell of an engine. IMO, BMW and Ferrari are as good as it gets in that department. The difference is that BMW can build crazy performance engines as well as silky smooth engines for daily drivers that frequently see 300,000+ miles. Plus diesel and so on. In addition, BMW does it at a fraction of the cost of a Ferrari. I would like to see Ferrari build a sub $60,000 M3 beater.

M3 is different league and that is not the best video.
I think an AM DB9 has a good exhaust sound. Between the M3 and Ferrari with both on extreme ends.

Those cars sound fantastic! Never said they didn't. I just disagree with saying the M3 sounds horrible. Those cars cost 3 times as much, they should sound better. ;)
I like the starter sound on the DB9.
