Mandela Highway in Kingston wasn't a pleasant ride Monday after Wilma's heavy rains covered Jamaica and the Cayman Islands with as much as 12 inches.
Mud, snow, hurricane...These things are unstoppable :D

Um, isn't that a bit TOO high?

What's the max we can go through? I've gone through water and mud that goes up to about 7 inches or around, but I've had help though.

Aren't you supposed to drive slowly through deep water?

X5Flyboy 10-21-2005 01:56 AM

the key is to keep the exhaust free - keep moving, but you are right, too fast could throw water up into the air intake - trouble is with deep water is you don't know if any of the road has been washed away - Not Good!
