Just about every guy from my gen had, or wanted to have,
her famous tank suit poster...saw her on B'way in Extremities:
she was fabulous.

She was a beautiful, classy woman and very strong and dignified
in her late battle.
She was my age...gives me pause;
RIP.

So sad. She was such an icon of the 70's. The hair, the red swimsuit pinup poster - it's hard to think of the 70's without thinking of her.

I grew up her post on my wall. (Won't say what I did with it, with respect to the late actress.)

Farewell Farrah, RIP.

Little known Farrah trivia.. She was the inspiration for the hit song Midnight Train To Georgia.

After the R&R band I played with in college headed to L.A. in '66, after a year or so singer/songwriter Jim Weatherly became friends with Lee Majors. One evening Jim was at Majors' place when Lee's then undiscovered girlfriend Farrah came over. Later that evening Farrah told everyone she was going home to see her parents, and said "I'm leaving on a midnight plane to Houston". Those words stuck with Jim, and became the title of his first million selling song, Midnight Train To Georgia. (Gladys Knight, with her Georgia roots, insisted on changing the original title, Midnight Plane to Houston, into Midnight Train To Georgia when she recorded it; Jim was happy to make the change. Since then he has written 20 or 30 more million sellers, and is still writing).

:iagree: She was sexy and classy. I am not that old but with the passing of my dad, life seems much more finite and I try to enjoy every day.

Ed McMahon and Farrah Fawcett were both classy people who contributed much to society. MJ was an incredibly gifted entertainer, who was horribly twisted in his adulthood.
