GM's New Chevy Camaro Proving Popular

i hope the same goes for the Volt, and hopefully the american car dealers will stay open.

They've been selling at or over MSRP since they were released. It's amazing. And by amazing I mean that people are paying over MSRP which is absolutely ridiculous for any car.

Way to go GM in getting this car right though. Despite the detractors, which are mostly people under 30, the car is hot.

I don't understand why people just don't buy a Corvette instead?

Can't help but feel bad for car companies operating in the US that didn't get billions in aid and US Govi aided bankruptcy. Not exactly a 'level' playing field. And to think people made all that stink when Iaccoca asked Congress for money he paid back in the 80's :tsk:

Yup...

The most expensive Camaro is the "2SS"

Starts at 34,225.00

Goes up to 35,425 when you add:
20" polished aluminum wheels with Midnight Silver finish
RS appearance package with HID headlamps and integrated halo ring
(INTERGRATED HALO RING???? :dunno:)

Cheapest Vette is the 1LT, starts at 54,170.

Goes up to 57,455 when you add:
Z51 Performance Package
Five-Split Spoke Competition Gray Aluminum Wheels
Dual-Mode Performance Exhaust

Yeah, I agree. That was a silly comment. You can get pretty big performance for $20k less than the Vette. That is why, Silver

Why do people buy a BMW 1 series vs a 3 or a 5 or a 6 or a7?

A Camaro and a Corvette are completely different cars, with the exception of the LS3.
