A friend bought a T-reg, it was back at the dealer for service for 3 straight months waiting for parts. Dealer gave her a VW passat wagon loaner for 3 months. She was not happy, that car was a complete POS. And yes, I know every model has its own bad apples.

Back to the thread:

It seems that VW wants P to focus on sports cars and they will build the SUV, the T-reg is and the P are basicly the same truck.

The funny thing about this is that about 5 years ago the Passat was the mid size class leader and in high demand. What did VW they moved the car up market and made the suspension softer and it been weak ever since. They also came out with the VW version of the Audi 8 which was a total disaster. My guess is that they don't want to repate these mistakes again.

And yet you're still on the X5 forum, secretly loving BMW over VW:cool:....I hear your Toureg (or however the hell you're supposed to spell it) weeping "Why? WHy?"

Face it...you can't get away from the X5.

The smaller engines may be the same truck but unless VW will offer a Touareg S and Turbo, they don't have any high power models. I can't believe VW will pass on that segment and do away with the pepper.

Do they even make the Touareg anymore?

that was my point. they will make one if the cayenne does die . the r50 was VWs best shot at it , it also failed.

I know that. I was just replying to Blue (AKA e61silver). You sometimes have to repeat things for him. (just :stickpoke Bill)

I guess the r50 did fail. I had no idea it existed until I goggled it. My dad has the V10, never heard of the r50.
