Any Hardcore Video guys on board
I have my fair share if junk but I go through phases of variuous hobbies....and fade in and out of them. Apogee, Krell, Kuro, etc....
Anyhow, I just passed by this window display. It had a projector backdrop on it BUT it was in the middle of the window display. Glass window (and nothing on all 4 sides of this thin backdrop). I looked everywhere and did not see a projector (bear in mind this is a public windows - streetside). It had the ILLEST thing I have seen in awhile.....It was display video on it, but the backdrop from me peeking through the glass underneath and top, there was not guts behind this display. I'm going to revisit this and get a better look but would anyone know what this beast would be. I'd toss my Epson HD projector or trade in for this thing in a heartbeat ;-) |
I have a sharp HD projector, but it needs a bulb currently and I am slackin on buyin it... Considering looking for a better projector. The one I have is 1080i and 3000 lumens, but has a low contrast ratio as it was really made for powerpoint presentation kinda stuff. I have everything hooked up to it though... TV, computer, PS3, etc. I need to get that bulb soon.

I went back to grab a better look and it was a magicians slight of hand ;-)
No new tricks here :-) It was early morning... Glass Windows Streetside There is a projector screen that is like a sticker on the inside of the glass window. There is a projector feeding the image from behind it. The effect however is very clean......seamless. Not like your typical plasma display on the window. No bezels, etc. The video just appears on the window in a nice square setup... |
probably just a piece of backlit sign material put on with an optically clear mounting adhesive.

DANG! misled by the title... when I saw 'hardcore' and 'video' in the same sentence I thought it was about something really interesting. ;)

LOL..."Hardcore Video". I'm guessing this thread will not have many responses but one heck of a hit count.
