I've been mulling over the idea of something like this myself but I think I'd need a lot more coverage.... something like this. What I don't like about their product is it's too easy to steal, only being held on by magnets.

B-Line 10-01-2009 02:26 AM

I'd rather have door dings.

OR just watch where you park!

FSETH 10-01-2009 12:29 PM

I think the caption should read "please key me".

+1

I hear you loud and clear. Totally sympathize with the Porsche owner. I sometimes park far away in an empty parking lot and come back to find a freshly minted door ding and a dodge caravan parked next to me :explode:

been there done that. Imagine driving my car to highschool everyday. my assigned parking spot was next to a stoner with a ford expedition... you do the math

i had the dent remover guy come after the school year..

motordavid 10-01-2009 09:51 PM

I realize there are times, locations and situs where one has to park in a lined,
narrow parking spot next to other cars...but, for all the other times, I head for
the furthest corner of any lot where no one except the workers, & meet-uppers
park. What's a 100 or 200 yd walk? Cake...

Those things on one's car are asking for trouble; right up there with the idiots
that park diagonally across two parking spots. Park it out in the boonies of any
lot and, walk "in", imo.

:iagree:
I do this all the time. Usually I make it into the store before the buzzards circling the parking lot looking for the closest spot to the door too!

jewelthief 10-02-2009 02:16 PM

those aren't that bad considering u just remove em when u're ready to go

X Foomph 10-07-2009 04:08 AM

I reckon they should hand them out free to all non X5 owners, then we could get real jealous about not looking so cool and yet, at the same time wonder no more about getting dings in car parks. Hey, it's just an idea:dunno:
Maybe they could be attached at the front and rear bumper bars as well, just for that 'wow' factor and of course total functionality
