I am back
I missed not being at the X5world meet. Missed all you guys here on the forum. I noticed some of you had fun at Juan's. Nice pics of the meet and I like Ucrew's new signature. Will definitely be there next time.
I tested the towing capabilities of my X5 while gone. Towed a 12' trailer weighing over 4000 lbs (while you guys were having fun at Juan's. Did I say I missed the meet) and the X5 did a pretty good job. OBC gave the fuel consumption of 14.8 mpg at the speed of 65mph. I was able to easily push to over 70 mph+ but did not do that for too long for safety. Did I miss anything other than X5world meet? |
Welcome back!! Hey, were you aware that while you were gone that there was an X5world meet? Sorry that you couldn't make it, we had a great time :D

LM: Good to read you again!

Welcome back, LeMans! Must feel good to have lost 4000 pounds.

Did you miss anything at the 'Meet? hmmm... let's see:
- Drexel (drex) takes EVERYTHING apart -- including high-priced cars and motorcycles. - (Not to spread any nasty rumors, but Drexel also has a heart of gold. It took him a total of 45 seconds to notice my dog is a "special needs" pet and ask about her treatment, medicines, and so on.) - Eric (eKaz) STILL has not given us the keys to his show-stopping 4.8, which we had annointed as the grand prize. (And, it's STILL not a truck.) :) - Eugene (TQ2K) -- the "quiet one" -- has a great eye for pictures. And, a VERY unique X5. - JV (JVZ104) will never again go to Craig's List to find a ride share partner. He's also got that certain "je ne se qua." He simply emits "cool"!! - Kevin (PNG) "flies stealth" even when making a phone call (blocks his number). I just KNOW that one day I'll go to CA, drive up to see him, and he'll show up with a "Hello Kitty" mask on his face. - David (motordavid) -- with his commanding voice and all -- recommends retirement to anyone! - Rob (Rob_) (who has two teenagers but does not look a day over 25, by the way) can replace a X5 steering wheel in less than 10 minutes. - Alain (alpac) is incredibly charming and witty -- not an easy feat for a Frenchman. :D - Jeff (UCrew) once had an authentic arcade game trucked to his house by one of his managers -- in Ohio. "It's good being the boss," he was reportedly qouted as saying. - Kevin's (NCX) wife, Candice, knew as much -- if not more -- about our Xs than we did. - T John (tijanaw) will someday be the head of the UN. And a good thing, too; someone's gotta fix that mess over there. - Phillip's (pepatrick) son will never, EVER own a can that does have a roundel adorning its hood. Oh yeah, he's a mod freak (Phillip, not his son... though, that is limited only by the fact that he's what, eight years old?). - EVERYONE at the meet was wonderful, warm, and caring. What a tremendous, classy, intelligent, and generous group of people. We had a wonderful time at the meet, and a great dinner that night (though we could have used a couple of extra coats. :D) Aside from that, you did not miss much. :D Juan |
Thanks for he details Juan. Glad that you guys had a good time and hurts that I missed.
