Nose started bleeding while riding my motorcycle

So I was riding yesterday afternoon. Nice day, sunny and dry (for a change) but cool 42/43f. I was on a portion of highway when my nose started bleeding like crazy. The highway was crowdy and there was not really any place for me to stop safely. So I decided to keep riding until the next gas station, pinching my nose with my left hand and I did that for about 15/20mns. At the time I was able to stop my left glove was soaked with blood and I had blood all over my jacket, pant and bike seat. When people saw me at the gas station they thought I had a major accident.:o Very embarrassing. Next time I will have pegs in my pocket just in case

Too much "toot", A?!
Just kidding...maybe the dry, coolish air.
I miss riding, while we are here in FL for the winter season.

Good thing you didn't have to sneeze.

I'm with mD,
Really do miss riding I do. Especially early on Sunday mornings up through the mountain twisties.
What I don't miss though is getting whacked in the eye by a bloody bug of some sort. Had it happen a few times when I wasn't wearing sunglasses and man, ouch did those bugs hurt or what?? Arrived home looking like I'd gone a few rounds.

Alpac, sorry to hear your bloody nose story. Strange how it would just start bleeding though. Maybe their's a doctor in the house that could shed light.
Any chance of a pic of aforementioned K1200LT?

It is probably just the dry weather causing your nostrils to dry up and crack. Some saline spray at your local pharmacy should help.

That didn't sound like a good time at all. I've had it when I wake up from sleeping and just walking around; but while riding a motorcycle on a busy highway would be very scary for me.

During winter months, leaving a humidifier running in areas of your home you spend time, may be of help. I garage my bike during winter months but ride dirt-bikes, snowmobiles and lot's of snowboarding over winter but on nights before i do, i leave a humidifier running in my bedroom all night...even have a portable version that i travel with for use in hotel rooms...just a suggestion.

Be safe out there.
