I'm sure I'll feel differently later when I am not hurting so much, but I don't know that I want another dog. (The "problem" is, I love dogs -- have had them all my life, and really can't imagine not having one.)

Cooper meant so much to me. Back in my bachelor days, it was just me and her. She was my "kid," and I'll miss her terribly...

So sorry for your loss Juan, I feel the pain. I do have a dog and cannot imagine not having him with me anymore. She was nice and sweet when I saw her at your house at the x5 meeting. You did the right thing if she was in pain. She rests in piece now

Sorry about the loss. Time will heal the pain and the good memories will come back. Thats when it may be a good time to consider another friend.

I feel your pain, Juan. I love dogs, I love all animals, but I'm a cat person. I have a 16 year old little girl that I found when she was just a kitten. Although the vet said "If I didn't know better I'd swear she was only 8" at her last check-up, I am dreading the day I have to say goodbye to my little sweetheart. (Come to think of it, she found ME!)

Sorry to hear that man, I went through the same thing a few years ago. To this day I can't get myself to get another dog cause i'm always comparing them to my old German sheppard....

sorry to hear juan. it was obvious how much she loved you and you her. the only definate solace is that at least now she is not suffering anymore (other than missing you too).

man that must be a hard decidion to make... you did the right thing, I bet she remembers you where ever she is. I ve heard that when we die we MUST cross a big river where only pets can help.. so i bet you have a VIP ticket waiting for you. I know maybe its not true but who knows.... :goodluck:
