Toshiba Laptop Help

So something broke on my laptop monitor hinge last night, and now when I open it up the screen wants to either fall all the way back or fall forward and shut, it won't stay put. I've got an idea of how to fix this, but it involves a homemade external brace that will looked rigged as hell. Anybody ever dealt with something like this? Any suggestions.

Take the hinge covers off and see if there's an adjustment screw.

Check on eBay, I bet you can find a replacement part to fix this. Lot's of damaged laptops for parts sell there cheap all the time

Absolutely! eBay is the way to go. This is where I got parts to fix my wife's Compaq laptop. I upgraded the CPU Pentium M from 1.3 to 1.8 and replaced the Radeon video card which was burned. It cost me 180$ all together instead of the $700 that Compaq was asking for just to fix the video card problem.
