Star Trek Online

A friend of mine is the architect and overall lead in the software creation of Star Trek Online.

It just went live and he got to see the first 100,000 people gameplay from their network operations center. Very very cool to see your body of work from start to finish get a major launch.

He is both a brilliant software engineer/architect and a game creator.

My wife and I were playing STO today when the server crashed - its a fun game when it works, but it seems like they have a lot of issues to work through still.
