It's Snowing!
It is November 18, 2005. Here in Toronto, we've been having flurries for the past 10-12 hours. It's not really accumulating, but right now, at 3PM, it is -1*C according to the X5.
In contrast, look just a month ago how all the leaves were on the trees. This is from the cottage up north. :D Im going up there tonight...apparently up at the cottage they saw 20cm come down (9 inches). I'll post pics when I get back from the weekend. http://www.gergin.net/posts/October%...SMALL_Fall.jpg Today: http://www.gergin.net/posts/November..._X5%20Side.jpg http://www.gergin.net/posts/November...X5%20Front.jpg http://www.gergin.net/posts/November...nt%20Panel.jpg http://www.gergin.net/posts/November...SMALL_Tree.jpg http://www.gergin.net/posts/November..._View%2001.jpg |
In my opinion this is when this lovely country of Canada looks the nicest, under the snow.

ARGH!!! Snow snow go away come again another day!!
|
You're lucky... can't wait to see some snow here!
Makes me curious - I think I'll start Snow vs. No-Snow poll... |
You're lucky! It's been pretty cold here (20 when I woke up this morning), and we've had some ice on the road from puddles and whatnot (including a large ice patch in the parking lot at school this morning, which was fun) but we haven't had snow yet. I'm looking forward to it. I hate it when it's cold and all the grass is dead and brown, but theres no snow.. We're hearing rumors of a storm some time next week, though. Let the snow days begin! :D

Hopefully It snows soon here. I'm looking forward to testing out the X in the snow. Just gotta put my winter wheels on one of these days.

Used to live in Milton, Ontario (west of Toronto) for more than 10 years and we enjoyed our winters there. My whole family ski so about this time of year we would be all itching for a lot of snow and getting our skis ready. Winter was never boring. I used to tell my friends that complained about the long winters in Canada that they are missing out because they don't do any winter recreation at all. Then I moved to Maui and I saw the same thing. Majority of the people here don't surf, windsurf, or golf - No recreational activities at all. What a shame! |
Sure Ed, rub it in!
The snow has come and gone a few times already here. Wacky weather - the forecast is for a high of 13 C (55 F) tomorrow. It was -5 C (23 F) a couple of days ago. |
What is this snow of which you speak? We have none of this at my house. :)
