Pics Of the View From Our Deck...

6 Attachment(s)
I haven't put up "view" pics in awhile, so some recent pic picks from the past month. View is from our deck here at the Mtn Joint, ~5,000 ft elevation, overlooking HillbillyHeaven.
Same view, as usual, but mornings and evenings offer up a slightly different and remarkable view, nearly every day. Thanks for looking!

Weasel 05-30-2010 11:03 PM

lol wow, i guess the place makes any picture look good!:wow:

No, it's the "fancy assed DSLR camera" app for the iphone... makes it look like a canon or nikon product.

Yii 05-30-2010 11:30 PM

well i got to say that that app sure is doing its job, it looked like a DSLR to me.

Thanks for the Looks and, the kind words...just another set of "average views" here at the MtnJoint.

Yes, LM is correctomundo: Canon EOS 40D with the cheap azz kit lens, EFS 17-85mm, and a Hoya Skylight 1B Haze filter.
I do have the camera settings cranked to "Landscape", with Sharpness at 6, Contrast at 0, Saturation at 2, Colortone at 0.

A Soaker here for MemDay; it's been raining since the middle of last night.
Glad I don't have to sit around "waiting for the 3 day weekend",.
Thank, mD

PS, on the Iphone Apps comments. My current/very old (1G,2G?) cell
phone doesn't have a cam or, any other "features". ;)

To someone who is putting together their official business plan documents, and hoping for an "earlier than average" retirement, that is very inspirational. Thanks, David! :)

A last shot from Memorial Day eve...dusk and the light was very low; shot at ISO 320, hand held. Damn cool, if I say so myself...I just look and shoot, and enjoy the view.
One of my Faves, thus far this season.

Excellent pics from MD, as usual.
Bet you never tire of having a morning coffee or an evening stiff drink out on your deck with that view in front of you.
Well done you lucky retiree, you.
