The LeBron Hoopla

With all the LeBron Hoopla and Kobe haters out there it's a wonderment....:dunno:

Why the media has forgotten that Most of the team — and this goes double for LeBron James — quit. They quit on their coach, quit on their fans, quit on each other, and quit on themselves. By the end of the game, they didn't even bother to pretend to care. Rather than risk a miracle, they stopped trying. They refused to foul and simply let the clock run out. Shaq by then was anchored to the bench with five fouls, his face utterly impassive

And that wasn't the first game in the playoffs this happened. So why has there been no mention of this in the Media....:dunno:

pure and simple. It's a business.

Agreed...but could that possibly be Lebron's way of getting out of Cleveland?

All the free agents need to pick a team already.

Being from Toronto, i'm pretty sick of the way Bosh has handled the entire process. I hope Colangelo doesn't allow a sign and trade and he losses out on $29 Million.

Good point quicksilver, that was pathetic how they just slit their wrists at the end. I remember thinking wtf are they doing???Even the announcers were like wtf is going on. I won't blame him if he decides to leave. It was nice having him only 3 hrs away....in a city with reasonable ticket prices tho. If he goes to ny/nj I can deal.....have family in the city:D

"WHAT"

LeBron James plans to tell us all where he plans to play next season live in an
hour-long special his team is calling "The Decision" on ESPN tomorrow night. ( Meaning Thursday)

Too funny. I wonder who's choreographing this hype. I hope it's not Mr. James.
Whatever I'm not buying into this over heated hoopla and won't be watching.
It doesn't take an hour to tell people where your playing. Quit wasting time......

He has requested that the advertisement proceeds from the special (or parts thereof) be donated to the Boys and Girls Club.

I myself am enjoying watching the drama unfold. Yesterday it was Ama're to NYK, today it was Bosh and Wade to MIA, tomorrow it is LeBron to___?

Uh Huh....... Ego a bit out of control imo

He has to lose some respect for this and for making it such an all-about-me spectacle.

It's a different time with 24-hour sports shows tracking James' every move and Twitter, but Julius Erving, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan wouldn't have done this.

Even a James contemporary, Kobe Bryant – didn't put on this much of a show when he was a free agent six summers ago.

That collection of greats has combined for 20 NBA championships. James has none.

I agree. So far he has made a lot of money but he doesn't have any rings. The ego is becoming tiresome.

I didn't think ESPN could get any worse, but they continue to amaze me! It is all they are talking about on their radio shows today.

I suspect I'll miss that program...

One would think this guy had the answer for
clean, cheap, sustainable energy, or the cure
for cancer. Gotta love the TV sports hype machine
and/or his agent/handlers.

The behind the scenes analysis is way more interesting.
Could it be that "Bill Simmons" is right. ? One never knows does one?
