Former NHL enforcer Probert pronounced dead

One of the most feared fighters in the NHL.

Yeah heard about this. Amazing an apparent heart issue yet he played for years and was in perfect shape.

He had a substance abuse problem, it was well known.

Hey Thunder: I was there front and center at the Garden in Spring of 1992 at a Rangers-Red Wings game. Domi's rookie year with the Rangers. Him and Probert got into it big-time. And everyone there is thinking the height mismatch and arm reach mismatch is too much for Domi. Or at least that's what I am thinking. But Domi unleashes some serious cannons and BREAKS Probert's nose. Probert's blood is dripping all over the Garden ice as he skates to the Detroit locker room. And then Domi looks up to the roaring crowd and does his "Heavyweight Title Belt" hand gesture around his waist, as he skates on one leg towards the penalty box. The Garden is rocking as everyone is chanting "DO-MI, DO-MI, DO-MI".

That was a game to remember. Needless to say Probert wanted revenge and he got into several more scraps with Domi in the next few years. But I don't believe he ever managed to get the best of Domi.
