it's kinda stupid... who doesn't have a case on their iphone?? it's a non-issue that the media is blowing way out of proportion. I don't have any issues with mine.

My daughter doesn't have a case on her iPhone and most of
the new ones I've seen don't either. I also haven't heard
from anyone about the so called antenna problem and I didn't
find much said about it on Apple support forums either.

EDIT: Oops Ok I found some complaints Apple - Support - Discussions - Search Discussions

I love mine. Works great and I do not have any issues with the reception. They just hate us cause they ain't us!

The bigger problem is the worthless proximity sensor and my fat face. :mad:

My buddy got his new phone a few weeks back, the antenna thing is real and he bought a case to fix the issue. Bad design, imo.

Search on Cnet, Gizmodo, pretty much anywhere and you will see many people have experienced and are frustrated by this issue. I would recommend removing all fanboy goggles before searching though. :D

By the way, this was the summary from Cnet's review of the iPhone 4. I highlighted a few parts most fanboys tend to overlook;

The bottom line: With the iPhone 4, Apple again shows that it is a powerful player in the smartphone wars. It won't be for everyone, the call quality and reception remain sticking points, and AT&T remains a sticking point, but the handset's striking design, loaded feature set, and satisfying performance make it the best iPhone yet.

Just another review where call quality/reception and AT&T in general were low points. You can add that to the reviews done by Consumer Reports, J.D. Power and others. It is like a Ferrari without any gas.

Not everyone has case, I know few who do not. I also did not on my 3GS as I do not want to hide the sexy phone;). No screen protector either. And amazingly I have been lucky with no scratches so far.

I've heard different things. Both of my friends that recently got them turned them back in (which I didn't know you could be but apparently you can...) 1 elected for his current 3Gs and one for Sprint's EVO both noted their horrid reception but loved the improved battery life. I'm going to pass and keep my Blackberry for now...

You can return any iPhone 4 for a full refund within 30 days of purchase. Both my fiance and I have iPhone 4s. Neither of us have issues. She has a case. I do not. I am waiting until this case is available:
