You would think that after the Dominos Pizza video, employees would learn not to post videos of themselves doing foolish things. Imagine he cut the video just before exiting the Vette? He would still be working there and 'test driving' other peoples new cars.

Found this over on M5board:

Now It Can Be Told - bimmerfest - BMW Forums

Dealer wrecks a car on an unauthorized drive, owner lawyers up, dealer cannot screw over owner, insurance jerks him around for 3 months...finally settle.

That certainly is the case sometimes. But most of the time I believe the lawsuits are driven by the fact that when it comes to significant expenses, most businesses do not pay attention or attempt to fairly address "making it right" until they get a letter from a lawyer. Their lying from the get-go in this case is the first indication that a lawyer might be required.

"So sue me," is an all too prevalent attitude among businesses.

I guess this happens more often. Read this:

Ok let's see "They stated that their tech took the car for a test drive and slid into a curb at 20 mph."....

Liar Liar pants on fire. Time to rent a car and wait for another M.
If I don't get another M5 I can't imagine a lawyer not taking the case.

But I guess the guy got what he wanted..... :dunno: Or did he....

Update: This is how powerful the internet is. The dealers website got "overheated" and he got thousands of e-mails about the wrecked car. The story got picked up by the largest Blog in The Netherlands and it generated over 35.000 hits within a day.

The dealer got it figured out and worked out a deal with the owner within a few hours...

I love it! I lose more and more faith in people everyday when it comes to money. The OP is a better man than I by sending the guy flowers and a get well card in the hospital...I wouldn't have done that myself.

OT - :spit: OMFG James this is the funniest thing I've seen ALL week!

Do you have it any bigger? I'd love to print it out and hang it up at work.
