BMWCCA is different than BMW itself. The CCA does have a rule stating that people under 18 cannot drive at an autocross. Plus, taking the BMW schools are expensive even with a CCA discount!

Street Survival?

Yeah, the CCA's are way too small to afford more insurance.

Whenever I need to teach someone car control, I find a warehouse in the country with a big back parking lot and no light poles.

Those are even more fun the two times a year it snows.

I do have to admit that I have also played around in empty, snow covered, parking lots with the X5 and also loaner cars that we always seem to have when it snows.

Street Survival also seems very similar to BMW's own driving schools. They also do the slalom, emergency lane changes and skid pad. I believe the only difference is that you get to use your own vehicle.

I really want more seat time driving a car at its limits. Schools like these and only do so much; then I must try and perfect what I've learned.

I'm working on trying to find a free weekend to see an autocross day. The next one close to me is a PCA event on Halloween. Maybe I'll skip the trick or treating and just watch this if my weekend is free.
