HELP! Fookin squirrels

1 Attachment(s)
This is a picture of the employee parking area at work. Just beyond those trees there is a little dip and a creek. There's a wildlife preserve across the street. I guess it's a good environment for wildlife. The squirrels are wreaking havoc on the employees cars. They are crawling into the engine compartments and chewing up wires, making nests or both. It was suggested that they back in instead of nosing in. I have no idea if that would help.

Any suggestions on humane ways to deter these creatures? Now if I parked there, I'd shoot those little F'ers.

do those non harming traps work for squirrels too? If so, that may be an option...

toss a can of peanut butter and a bag of nuts in the woods. you must appease them and distract them else wear =]

Thanks for the suggestions

Naz - Thanks but I think I'd need alot of traps and then what? Where do I release them so they don't come back?

Yii - Thought of that but with my luck it would just attract more of them.

I'm stumped...Maybe one of those "electric fences" they use for dogs. I don't know.

I just read somewhere to mix 4 tbsp of hot sauce with a quart of white vinegar and spray it wherever you don't want them. So I guess the curb?

I also heard to buy fox urine and soak cotton balls with it-- surround the area with this...natural predator is the fox and it could scare off the squirrels.

Rats are the biggest problem here in the city.
once i found half a sandwich in top of the engine compartment on my E53.:wow:
couldn't believe it, another time i pop my hood before heading out, 2 rats were just chillin there, took their sweet time to get off.
Haven't notice anything that severe with the E70.
any suggestions with this one?
