The Mentor of the Compact Disk, Off to Valhalla...
Norio Ohga, who had great impact on development of the consumer Compact Disk, and the Sony style and look...for all you MP3 gang, a compact disk is that amazing shiny coaster that holds a lot of music or photos, and sounds damn good.

I remember my first CD player and portable... first generation Sony's before I got burned out from that brand. I loved my LPs but it was also awesome to get away from the clicks and pops of vinyl. The thing Sony omitted which has puzzled me is putting text information on the album and tracks as a mandatory part of the standard. It wouldn't have taken more than a KB or two for any album.
