Secret chopper

How about the secret stealth helicopters used in the mission against Osama? When I saw the first photo of the wreckage I thought it was a strange piece of machinery. Pretty cool stuff but unfortunately some of it is probably in the wrong hands now.

pretty cool indeed. looks to be more of a tail rotor section though rather than what could be considered an actual helicopter...at least not a person carrying one...could have been a uas of some sort. either way, pretty stealthy

I'm surprised the SEAL team didn't toss a terminator into it, so it would be in tiny pieces and shreds, and melted...

I bet China has pieces of it already, as they are cozy with Pakistan for 'stuff'.

Oh, it's definitely just the tail section that survived. The rest of the helicopter was destroyed by the SEAL team.

A friend of mine works on blackhawks in the army... said he doesn't know the details naturally but knew rumors of secretive works on stealthing up the bird. The same coatings and similar angles used as modern stealth fighters, a ring-enclosed tail rotor for noise reduction, etc. I'm betting that isn't the only one that got that treatment and they will become very useful in future missions.

It's sure is cool. Rumor has it that they have been using these stealth helos for some time. It's obviously a very well kept secret. I'm just surprised that info didn't leak out and confirm the many rumors.

Reminds me of "Airwolf" and "Blue Thunder".
