Anyone pre-order the Nikon D200?

I ordered mine earlier in the week, but I fear I wont be getting it in the first shipment. Too many others in line and not enough product the first go around. Hope I am wrong.

I don't have a dSLR but am thinking of getting one. Don't want to start a Nikon vs. Canon war but I've always been a Canon guy so naturally I'm looking at the XT as a starter. The D200 has been getting rave reviews.

Can't really go wrong either way. We already had some Nikon glass. Some early reviews look real good, but still nothing definitive. On paper it looks very nice. We shall see!

Good choice I have the D70, best camera I have ever had, and I am really tempted to get the D200. We will need a review once you get it.

I am still trying to master my D70, but it is tempting.

The rebels take great images but the body's just feel really cheap and don't fit in many peoples hand well. Does anyone have the Nikkor DX 70-200mm VR lens? I went to the camera shop today to shoot some RAW's and it is truly amazing. It is a 1,600 dollar lens so i guess it better be good. Well D50, D70, D200, it all has to do with the person taking the pictures, not the equipment. So I would save some money and go with a D70s. Then spend your extra money on glass. Hope this helps!

I also pre-ordered the new 18-200mm lens. $750. Suppose to be extremely versatile.
