You folks ready for the Rapture?

Somewhere in this world it's already May 21 st. Has anyone you know dissappeared?

I saw that snippet with the Geezer Genius, on the NatNews this eve...
I guess we should all party hard all night and tomorrow, because The End
is Near.

I want to see that false tooth clacking ol'bastard on Nat News Sunday night,
when our lil' ball is still spinning, and still orbiting our nondescript star, and...
we are all still here. At least I hope most of us are still here.

Actually have a decent story about this!

A friend of mine that lives and works in the French Quarter area encountered one of the hardcore bible pushers on bourbon street with a big wooden cross, some pamphlets and large sign about the rapture being here on the 21st... the guy confronted my friend, who is a gay atheist, and asked him if he was certain he would be saved in the rapture. My friend nice and tactfully explained that he is gay and an atheist, so if it happens, no. Then he asked the guy how strong his faith was, asked if he was 100% confident in his faith and his savior that he would be saved himself. The guy said yes, as he has lived his whole life according to the lord and the bible he will be saved. My friend then asked if he would end his tour of this life on earth with one last act of charity and sign an act of donation of his car to him, since he just has an old rusty bike to ride around and doesn't have a car of his own... As you can guess the guy said no and disengaged.

Didn't this same group do this back in 1994.

Matthew 24:36
Mark 13:32
Acts 1:7

Shouldn't he practice what he preaches?

If you're going to thump a bible, at least know what's in it........

Wonder if they have any red-eye plane tickets left available from ORF to Vegas... just in case he's right. :D

Yeah, unfortunately so. I think if rapture ever did actually happen I'd just sit back and enjoy the earth without all the religious fanatics here!

Hmmmmm. It's not 6:00PM on the west coast but seeing that the time has come and gone in other locations perhaps it's safe to say nothing has happened.
The news is reporting...........

SAN FRANCISCO (Reuters) – With no sign of Judgment Day arriving as he had forecast, the 89-year-old California evangelical broadcaster and former civil engineer behind the pronouncement seemed to have gone silent on Saturday. Family Radio, the Christian stations network headed by Harold Camping which had spread his message of an approaching doomsday, was playing recorded church music, devotionals and life advice unrelated to the apocalypse. Camping previously made a failed prediction Jesus Christ would return to Earth in 1994.

HA! My friends are awesome! Another friend of mine took all of her and her kids old clothes and they (kids included) spread them all out in the parking lot of an empty church in my neighborhood with a fingerpainted sign saying "HE'S HERE!"

They plan on going collect the clothes back tomorrow and wash&donate them to goodwill.
