Thank you for all the kind wishes, to all the posters, fans, friends and Faves!
The usual uneventful day, but glad I rolled over another mile on the ol' Odometer.

Thanks to:
Ucrew, AzNMPower/Matt, bmwbmwuser, J.Belknap, (a long lost relative),
Petener999, (some set of balls, but he got gypped in the tool dept), JCL my VancouverConnection, Naz, our fave Ivy League guy, Lemans/S, and...

-PNG/K: I hope to do as many more as I can, with some dignity.
-Ray: I passed on the '82s LeftBank stuff, and picked a '94 Carmenet Moon Mtn Estate Reserve; a bit old & dusty, but good flavor, sort of like its owner.
-haigha, I shot an 83 with two 7s on Tuesday, from the near TIPS, and then
closed my fookin thumb in the door of the X. Pic below...not sure I am swinging it anytime soon.
-QwkAg, for the nice personal PM

-And, not last or certainly not least, cmyx6go, Ah L...what a sweetheart. Thank you, dear! :luv:

And, to anyone else that just gave the thread a read...this getting older is not for the weak or wimpy. ;)

I recall back in the summer of '67, when my hometown was engulfed in riots, and I would listen to the Pepper Album...the story is McCartney wrote most of the orig song when he was a kid, and many years later, the Beatles buffed it up, added some clarinets and GeoMartin magic, and tossed it on the game changing album, Sgt Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band.

I thought then, Jeesh H Murphy: SixtyFookinFour?! I was 19 3/4s then, and
well...here I am at 64. Ain't so bad, especially mentally. :D

Those smashed thumb pics are a far cry from the beautiful shots you usually share with us. Ouch!

Quicksilver 08-28-2011 11:55 PM

What personal PM???

Meiac09 08-29-2011 02:33 AM

R8DX5 08-29-2011 02:20 PM

Happy belated mD. Hopefully the injured finger didn't slow you down much.

Quicksilver 08-29-2011 02:24 PM

Getting close to medicare & SS time.

motordavid 08-29-2011 05:07 PM

-Az, Thanks...only a buck twelve in Phoenix today?! :wow:
-R8DX5, Thanks Clint! You still the boss at home, so far?! ;)
-QwkAg, Thanks BFAM...I tapped SS 2 yrs ago, at 62. Figured I would get
it early, rather than a larger sum in my late 70s... And yes, Medicare in a
year, not that I frequent the docs. :D

Best Regards, David

haigha 08-29-2011 07:18 PM

Those 7s will kill your score :( Sorry to see the state of your thumb. I hope it heals up soon. I'm out Wednesday for a round. Down to about once a week for me. Playing 2-4 times a week got old after almost 10 years of doing it.

:band: We're such a lovely audience, you'd love to take us home :p:

FSETH 08-29-2011 10:30 PM

Happy belated B-Day! I hope the thumb heals quickly. That looked like it stung a little bit to say the least.

AzNMpower32 08-29-2011 10:33 PM

Ouch! Hope that thumb heals up soon. You'll be back on the golf course soon, just give it some rest.

It's so hard to me to get into golf. I know its a noble sport and many of my school friends all play, but geez I hardly have the time or money to add another sport to my portfolio :(

SuaveX5 08-30-2011 02:02 AM

Happy belated B-Day MD:band:

X5Flyboy 08-30-2011 04:09 AM

Happy B-Day!

I've been absent a while now. Just applied for SS, so I thought of you.:D:thumbup:

All kidding aside..., all my best to you and continued good health & happiness.

You've been married for a long time, I think you know the answer to that question.

Yes, I 'know', C...
I was just hoping that one of my fellow males was able to actually install himself as the real boss of a household.

Be like me: I am the fookin King, here! I wave my arms, make
proclamations, rant and opine about stuff, and then we do what the CEO wants us to do. ;)
