So I dumped that whore of an X five yesterday......can you believe it had the gall to put the check engine light on yesterday while on the way to trade in?! The MDX is nice...it is no X5 but it is nice......I miss the power band already, wow...I really am a lead foot...although the blue tooth is pretty neat. 41 months and counting.....

I am declaring right here and right now I will be in another X5! It will be CPO'ed. It will not have any chrome on it! It will be a 4.6....I am keeping my fingers crossed that we all love the new body style cuz, after surveying everything.....there is nothing else but the X5 ..

Like a little perfect storm the late 01,02 X5's 4.4s are only fetching 18-19K at auction in Boston right now....I got 21500 for mine...owed 23600...loss is being amortized over the lease because the rate is only 1.9% and money market is 4.0 again so I was better off just keeping the duckets. I saw all of the online pubs that had the trade val at 25ish but I went to five places and the answer was the same 21 ish...I got a lease for 17K per year for 41 months...no money down and walked away with the same deal as the X5 per month with that piece of crap extended warranty. So...in the end it was not a bad deal and I still cannot believe that check engine light was back on, the 60K service was still on the horizon and it needed a new fan belt...

Sorry to hear, man. I'm sure you'll be "back on the saddle" soon! :D

MDX is a nice SUV. It is roomy too. I hope you will get back in another X5 soon.
