THE LEGEND IS CONTINUED 2007/2008!

World premiere on the 38. Tokyo engine Show
New supersports car of Nissan
Prototype shows now seriesnear model
Germany premiere for 2008 planned
Nissan updates the GT r Saga. Apart from seven further world premieres the enterprise reveals on the 38. Tokyo engine Show as high point the study of the new Gt-r. As Gt-r PROTO the two-door Coupé gives an already very concrete view on the coming generation to the Japanese sports car legend. Since 1999 Nissan will offer the first completely new Gt-r starting from 2007 for the first time also in a left-guided version. Then it start on same eye level and world-wide against the remaining Asse of the supersports car segment.

......

Whether on the road or on the racing course – the all-wheel-driven Nissan skyline Gt-r always stood for ultimative achievement development and outstanding handling. The Reputation of the series goes thereby long beyond the exclusive circle of the faithful fan municipality. No miracle that also the outer skin of the Gt-r PROTO from each pore breathes pure sportyness. Nothing to their is decoration, on the contrary everything has a function. The enormous, central air intake in the nose creates a visual connection to skyline the „R34“ of 1999 as well as to the concept study Gt-r Concept of 2001. The throat at the same time lets what powerful engine under the hood suspect, schlummert.

......

The form of the front fenders is likewise a result of intensive wind tunnel tests like the lateral air discharge slots in the front door area. Also the characteristic break in the C-column offers aerodynamic advantages. The modelling of the collateral line and the powerful rear wheel housings underlines against it more than everything else the raw strength and the dynamic tension of the supersports car.

......

At the tail the designers respected the tradition of the 1969 with the model „PGC 10“ created series. That is called skyline with the Gt-r: Four round tail lamps and ever two exhaust final pipes to both sides. In addition come in a tail spoiler and as diffuser of trained Unterboden. With united forces both suck the ultraschnelle projectile with increasing speed ever more strongly to the roadway.

Immediately you can book the new GTR in advance with us and secure yourselves thus one first in Germany.

They had a right up on this in R&T a month ago at an auto show. Yes it is coming to the US as an Infiniti model, will it look the was the "auto show" version does, they didn't say. Will it be fast, yes, will it be cheap, no. :)

The VQ motor choice was interesting by Nissan considering all the Skyline's in Japan are powered by the RBTT series engines. Starting price is expected to be around $70,000.

I like it, but the front to me looks ugly.

vinuneuro 12-18-2005 12:30 PM

The wheels ruin an otherwise great lookin car. I wonder how the performance will be. The G35 is redesigned, so I wonder if this is basically going to be what it looks like.

pinoix5 12-18-2005 01:01 PM

thats fugly!i still like the the r33s and r34s!

Rear looks exactly like a '78 Vette, I like it.

Nissan says that 80% or so of this concept look will become the final product, but no carbon fiber front bumper.

The R34 is my favorite... I was thinking about importing one over to Canada two years ago, but couldn't find a good enough condition one in my price range.

kidcapri50 12-18-2005 11:26 PM

Yes this is my first post :D

I'm a Nissan tech. and just got back from training and they let us know that the Skyline will be released in The USA in late 06' early 07' but as an Infiniti and not an Nissan. BUT THAT MIGHT CHANGE :dunno: .

Nissan's saying that the 70K price tag is more of an Infiniti customers pace.

And if that's true, Nissan will be releasing a Twin Turbo 350Z (MAYBE)

Dear God,

Thankyou.
