Man oh Man...I probably couldn't get into any U these days, and if I did I might flunk out. And, if I did manage to get in/graduate, my job hunting effort in these times, might lead me to tears.

Very, very different situ today then it was 40+ yrs ago for me, or even 20 yrs ago, when my Kidz slid through Rutgers.

I wish all you young bucks & buckettes good luck with your searches, and don't freakin give up! In my old time experience, getting the next job one might really want was magnitudes easier if one had some kind of fookin job, vs no job...but, that was then.

took all ya'll advice and have been contacting my "contacts."

I already have an interview with a wealth management firm scheduled for christmas break. Pretty excited, they have around $20 Billion under management.

i will probably still apply to the major banks through Cornell--after much contemplation, i feel that it would be a good move to try it out! But otherwise, things are starting to look up.
