Happy Birthday, Weasel!
Happy Big Three Oh!
(I have a motorcycle down in the garage, older than you are ;) ...) Hope you are having a great day, and stop around once in awhile, even though you are X-less, now! Best Regards, mD |

Happy birthday Weasel! Dirty Thirty...someone is going to have a headache at work tomorrow.
|
No headache tomorrow, unfortunately I had to build new stairs and landings with railings for 3 exterior doors of our homeowners policy on the Tickfaw house. (the work is NEVER done here haha) But I'm having one hell of a throw-down next Sat with a bunch of my friends, bbq, paintball, bonfire, guns (set up my outdoor shooting range, yeah buddy!) 4 wheelers, and booze, of course there will be booze!
And to top it off I just got back from a fun adventure! I was selected by BMW for a tech appreciation ride and drive event! Had a reception dinner with speeches from BMW execs, factory/plant tour at the US plant in Spartanburg, SC. Then spent half the day Friday on the track there at the performance center with 5 different race events! I got to flog the courses in 135i's, 335i's, M3 competition package's, 335 diesels, and took E70 diesels through the offroad course. That much fun shouldn't be legal! And I got a fancy pants BMW watch as a gift! (part# 80262179743) that I'm not likely to wear if anyone wants to make an offer for it lol. |
Ahhh, the joy's of home ownership.
What were your impressions of the cars you got to drive at the performance center? |
Happy Birthday, Weasel.
Your PC trip reminds of my trip in summer. X5 off road trip was amazing. |

Late to the party but a belated happy birthday!

Seth, the cars were all amazing... the 135's were on a small, tight, wet course and they put two of us head to head, fastest around the track without spinning off through the grass won. Traction control 100% off. I won that one as carrying through drifts is one of my favorite things to do! The 335i's were on a larger wet/dry course with slaloms and various degrees of turn, head to head again, tons of fun of course. The M3's were on a bigger course with a longer straight away and a few turns, this was the fastest race of the day and it is impossible to not have fun pushing an M3 to its limits...! The 335d's were on a smaller course with tighter slaloms and turns and a tiny stop box to stop in, it was a timed run and we were all competing against each other. The torque in that diesel is pretty amazing...
And the watch is "made by BMW in close relationship with TOURNEAU" according to the booklet with it. I'm honestly never gonna wear it, so any interested parties are welcomed to make offers. |
Happy Birthday!
