Tipping the Mechanic - $ or Beer
 

So I'll be picking up my wheels from my mechanic 2morrow. Anyhow, he takes care of my *stable*.

Should I just give a holiday tip or bring Stone Imperial Russian Stout ?
Can't decide.................

If he's the mechanic who did the work, slip him whatever cash amount you want and tell him it's to cover a "thank you" lunch from you. If he's the owner, give him the bottle, and THEN slip the mechanic some lunch money.

I have always gone with the triple approach.

Beer, Pizza, and Cash

When I forget to call to have my boat put in the water, I find beer also gets that taken care of very quickly.
