What's your job?

It occured to me today that I don't know what any of you around here do for work.... So, I ask the question, what is your job?

If you don't want to answer, you don't have to. I'll just assume you're in the CIA or the Mafia or something... :D

As for me, I'm a hardworking high school student!

Actually my work title is CIA - Customer Information Analyst. Basically I maintain a customer database (names, addresses, credit terms, delivery routes and days, as well as pricing) for Pepsi Co. I also am the Payroll Administrator for our market unit.

Ucrew - at the web admin thing. I wish I could do that and still afford all the toys I have now.

Early RetiredBum, as I pulled the ripcord 5 yrs ago this month, at 53. :D

No golden parachute, no buyout, no nothing but 30+yrs of hard work, luck, saving like fooking squirrels and some ballz to walk away when I was nearly on top, eg VP of Sales and Mkting.

Before that bailout, 30 yrs of sales, sales mgmt, senior mgmt, senior exc. jobs basically in the same industry: printing and publishing supplies. Long time with a large public co., a decade with a smaller startup that went public, and the last 11 w/a family owned, but worldwide priv. co.

I loved almost every min of the work, the customers, my sales and sales mgmt gang that reported to me, the travel, the great people whom I met, etc. I have avoided looking back, except fondly.

Never say never, but other than some vol. work I do, I will not work again, espc. in a 800 buck suit carrying daBag. Zero regrets, however. Keep plugging guys...ya'll young, smart and on the highway to success and most importantly, happiness & contentment w/your Fams.

I am a corporate and technical writer. What does a technical writer do? Well, you know those little (or big) manuals you get when buy a new PC or software? :D

I have done a little of everything, including:

- traning material
- user guides
- process documents
- web site content
- mass corporate communications
- many other boring things...

I will also be pursuing a Masters in Organizational Communications starting in a couple of months. Wish me luck. :)

Furthermore, I do some web site building, maintenance and administration. This is a hobby, though. For an example, look here --> the official web site of my neck of the woods. , for which I am the volunteer webmaster.
