George Zimmerman takes to TV to tell his story

it had to be somebody's plan - either the God or the Lucifer... Even though millions were killed in the name of God, I sure hope that the God did not plot somebody's death, then we are all doomed!!!

The person that planned this is Zimmerman. The evidence says he went looking for a confrontation. He should have stayed at home and watched Sesame Street.

all jokes aside, it is a tragedy, when an innocent kid dies (he might be guilty of something else somewhere else, but at that moment he was innocent) because someone thinks that he is so righteous that he has a right to confront some one in a "pre-emptive" strike... in this case, regardless of the intentions of the victim, the ACTUAL crime had taken place in an "attemt" to prevent a potential crime...

But this is a policy of this land... :(

Where are Mr. Sharpton and Mr Jackson and the rest of the media whores when there's black on black crime? They're nowhere to be found. And that's a fact.

In the first place this thread was not about what it is you've decided to talk about.
Secondly I see no need for me to waste time talking about a subject you
seem to have a predilection for. So have at it. I have no need to justify my actions
with you or anyone else. If you wish to seriously engage those to whom
you have a problem with (Mr. Jackson or Mr. Sharpton) let me suggest you
call them directly. Apparently doing so is a very easy thing to accomplish.

If you have a problem with me I suggest you let it rest. I don't have to time to
peruse the endless pointless conversation about race which is where you seem to be going.

Let me please suggest that you read or watch Mr. Zimmerman's on air
comments and see if you can formulate an intelligent response to the content of
"HIS" comments. After all his comments is what this thread was about.

Honestly, I don't care if you justify your posts or not, I wasn't asking you to. And if you want to discuss "predilection" take a look at your own posting history.... I tried to figure out how to work an et tu brute into this but I can't make the joke work lol.

That being said, you posted about this subject, on a DISCUSSION forum. If you don't want to DISCUSS the topic, and ancillary related topics, then why post about it? You've started multiple threads on the topic, which clearly involves white on black crime, you don't think that black on black crime is related?

Coming back to the "predilection" aspect, you have a history of posting about this type of subject, and when it starts getting hot, you back off, get insulted, plead "no dog in this fight" whatever, it's incredibly odd to me. I don't have a problem with you, it's not personal, it's frustration, if you want to discuss this discuss it, or don't post about it.... what's the point in starting the thread if you don't want to discuss it?

Regardless, my reference to sharpton and jackson is completely relevant, and in direct response to you that you think it's the media's fault that black on black crime isn't an important issue! (:rolleyes:)
Why don't Sharpton and Jackson put as much effort into making black on black crime an issue as they do white on black? I don't see either of them at Mccarron pool which has been crime ridden since it reopened, why aren't they organizing a march? lol. (those questions are rhetorical btw, I'm not expecting you to answer)

Zimmerman's comments were beyond stupid. They actually are nonsensical.

My take on this from the absolute beginning was that if it was a bad shooting, then it will be a bad shooting, irrespective of race. The only LEGAL fact that matters is simply whether there was a valid exercise of the right to self-defense. It ought not be about race. Unfortunately, one way or the other, race has become the central issue and NOBODY will be happy with the outcome of this case. There will not be fairness for either the defendant nor the decedent.

Are there some activists who want this to be a race issue? Absolutely. Whenever any element such as race, gender, religion, whatever, is involved and there are activists who make their living on conflict and hate mongering, they will appear. Do you think that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson want to have no purpose or relevance? Of course not so they have to keep the issues alive in order to stay relevant. This is true also of the likes of Gloria Alred so it's not just when racial issues arise. These kinds of parasites make a living from hate and intolerance. I do agree with the question Thunder posed and have had a similar question: Would these same activists be present if the deceased was Hispanic, Asian, or American Indian. Another thing that I wonder: Why has it been glossed over that Zimmerman had been a mentor/Big Brother to an African-American youth before he was painted as a racist? How about his outrage at a city council meeting when the Sanford Police Department failed to act in investigating the beating of a homeless African-American man? How about his minority friends, including African-Americans, spoke out about him not being a racist? How about some of these same friends who were fearful of coming forward out of concern that the angry mob would turn on them?

The constant reminder of a dispatcher telling Zimmerman to stay in his car is of absolutely no importance, despite what people want to make of it. The dispatcher's opinion is not legally binding nor even good advice. Recall the dispatcher who did absolutely nothing when the social worker called 911 to report her very real concerns before Josh Powell killed his own two young sons. (Transcript of the call here.) Whether Zimmerman should have stayed home and watched television is not relevant either. The ONLY question is with regard to his exercise of self-defense. This would be the ONLY question if the involved parties were white, brown, blue, or green.

Whatever the issue, whether it is the Trayvon Martin/George Zimmerman case or a host of other cases or issues, extreme polarization in our society results in never knowing what is right or true.
