I'm looking for an Ultrabook as well. Almost bought a Zenbook but the deal breaker was it only came with the bilingual keyboard in Canada. I find the extra keys on the biligual keyboard extemely frustrating to use because it moves the location of the enter and left shift keys. I decided to wait until my next trip to the US to get one with normal keyboard. By then Windows 8 will be out and I won't have to do the upgrade. The Acer isn't as nicely packaged as the Asus but is priced lower. The Acer and HP are tied for second on my list.
Please post your impressions if you manage to test drive either one.

LOL, speak for yourself. That may be true if you drive like a granny. Most of us here use all that power and want more. Safely passing a truck on the highway in 3 seconds instead of 10 seconds is a world of difference.
Back on topic, having more computing power than you need to run your applications doesn't change the user experience. You won't be sending that email or making that Amazon purchase any faster. It's a waste of money. It only makes sense if you are running applications that need it, like video processing, gaming or developing applications. |
