It was terrible. Transformers exploding everywhere. Dom had his police radio as he had to go in this morning. The calls were terrible. A house a few blocks away collapsed from a wave. The 14 year old daughter was found in the debris dead. Mother in critical, father still missing. My sister knows the family. The mom works in the Catholic School her kids go to.

Water was up to the 2nd floor of houses two blocks down. We are safe thank God. Power is still out. Almost no cell service. But we are alive. Lots of bad sad stories yet to hit the news.

Saw on TV that 80+ homes burnt down due to fire from transformer. The fire trucks could not reach them as the water was too high. These people are in my thoughts and prayers.

16 Fisker Karma submerged and later caught fire at Port of Newark

Other European car manufacturers who use Port of Newark are still assessing damage and we will find out more in the following days.

"We typically ship cars to dealers within days of them arriving at the port," BMW spokesman Tom Plucinsky said. "All our facilities have been closed for the last two days, so it's too early to say what the effects of the storm are on our inventory."
