Lets talk CAFE Standards

I know a bit old subject...

Just a few key take-aways here. What happens to car companies like Ferrari? Are they just going to be stuck paying the fees associated with not meeting the high MPG standards? Or are they exempt because of market share and business model. I have been trying to get research into this, and am coming up blank..

Opinions?

They will pay the fines. Just like BMW and Mercedes. The penalty is low.

Isn't it $5.50 per .1 mpg under the standard times the number of cars sold?

Once the number gets up to the 54.5 mpg standard I feel like it should get pretty pricey
