Performance TV on Volocity FAIL!
 

I can't believe they have become "snake oil" salesmen. The Perf TV episoide I had on earlier actually hawked this "engine booster" item for over 10 minutes......

The show actually had a company spokesman on, claiming these "strip magnets" attached to the battery cable and fuel line produce a "Proton Vibration Alignment Field" that increases fuel economy and power by 15%!!!!

I weep for the future of Velocity TV!

It gets even more entertaining if you go to the company's website.

They use the same technology claim (proton vibration alignment?) in a whole range of products.

If you get the Chassis Booster, it strengthens the vehicle structure, improving handling and braking.
If you wear it around your neck as a pendant it improves your singing voice.
If you treat water it improves hydration when you spray that water on your skin.
If you put a CD disk on it then play the CD, you have improved fidelity and better sound. Works with all formats and Blu-Ray!
It goes on, limited only by their imagination for additional scams.

Yeah, I saw all the additional claims.........makes chassis stiffer, the magnet on the battery cable makes the AC work better and the audio sound better, 50% lower emissions, mag on fuel line "aligns protons" so cyl ignition is directed toward the piston for up to 25% more power (IF it actually "aligned protons" in the fuel line, how would they remain aligned in the few minutes it takes to get thru the remaining fuel line, fuel rail, injector? Then align perpendicular to the piston face during the compression stroke for ignition?

All those fancy CGI vids on their website and no simple engine dyno vid showing an engine pull without their mag, followed immidately by the install of the mag and a 2nd pull showing a 25% increase (done in front of SAE engineers).

This crap is worse then the airtube "Tornado". That buttstain made millions of that POS! I would bet that guy is sitting on his yacht laughing his balls off, or trying to knock them off banging supermodel grade trim.

Saw the nails going into the Speed TV coffin when the changed to Velocity TV and stopped showing live F1 and flag to flag coverage of 24 hrs of Le Mans, Daytona 24 hr and N'b'ring endurance sports car racing.

I guess "Exibit" and "Pimp my Ride" are too important to skip an episode for FIA/ACO/IMSA sports car racing!!!!

I don't know Velocity, it isn't shown in Canada AFAIK. I had to look it up. Owned by Discovery Channel, targeted at males 25-54. I guess that is who buys miracle car products.

We have Speed, and TSN (multi channels). Between the two they carry Formula One including practices, Le Mans, etc. And Nascar. Fail.

Velocity (here in the US) has actually show re-runs of Nascar races while F1 and endurance sports car races are running.

They've actually given time slots to "All Girls Garage" and constantly run commercials with min-clad bimbos hawking products. Is this really what 'mericans want in their automotive programming?
